We’re delighted to announce that Professor Richard Harris and Dr Manuela Pedio have been awarded funding of £234,000 through Innovate UK for a 2-year KTP project with Fathom Consulting.
The project will involve the development of portfolio management and risk modelling systems used to support Fathom’s clients and the development of a semi-automated scalable software package through which these systems can be accessed.
Fathom Consulting aims to develop a semi-automated, scalable software service. By incorporating advanced portfolio modelling techniques derived from extensive research, the goal is to enhance Fathom’s service delivery and strengthen its market position.
This initiative represents a departure from the conventional approach in the economic consultancy industry. Unlike many existing solutions that are often bespoke and challenging to scale, this project seeks to address these limitations. It aims to provide clients with a technologically advanced and flexible alternative, drawing from the latest academic research to offer a unique value proposition in terms of both innovation and pricing flexibility.
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) aim to help businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills within the UK knowledge base. This KTP project was funded by UKRI through Innovate UK.
