We are delighted to congratulate Professor Brian Squire who has been appointed as Dean of the Business School, following a rigorous external appointment process.
Brian has been Deputy Dean of the Business School (Temple Quarter Innovation and Enterprise) since January, representing the school as we plan the transition to Temple Quarter (TQ), supporting colleagues in the areas of education, international and cross-campus collaborations, and leading on finance and planning.
Professor Squire was previously Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management at the University of Bath School of Management, where he also served as Acting Dean, Deputy Dean and Head of Division. His research is in the areas of operations and supply chains, exploring properties that create resilience, innovation and sustainability and he is co-investigator of the £12 million EPSRC Cellular Agriculture Manufacturing Hub.
We are delighted by this very strong appointment which will enable the Business School to continue to deliver on our Vision and Strategy.
Brian will take up the role from 1st October and Professor Veronica Hope Hailey will continue to hold the title of Inaugural Dean and Special Advisor to the Vice Chancellor until December 2024 and support the school with a series of launch events in both the UK and China in November.
Congratulations Brian!
